Below is important information regarding your presentation at ICDL-Epirob, for the different categories.
CONTRIBUTED PAPERS with ORAL PRESENTATION
ICDL-Epirob will showcase 26 oral presentations in a single-track format across three days (Tuesday to Thursday). The presentation of each paper must be limited to 15 minutes, to allow 10 additional minutes for Q&A and speaker transition. Please, bring your own laptop with either VGA or HDMI output port. If you cannot bring your own laptop, please contact the local chairs ASAP. Once at the conference, meet the Session Chairs a few minutes before the beginning of your session to check equipment compatibility. If something is not working properly, please ask for help to one of the Conference Helpers.
CONTRIBUTED PAPERS with POSTER PRESENTATION
A total of 30 contributed papers will be presented as posters at the conference: 10 papers each day, during a dedicated poster session in the afternoon. Moreover, each poster will be introduced by a 2-minutes oral presentation (i.e. teaser) during a dedicated session on the same day, before lunch.
Therefore, if your contributed paper was accepted as poster presentation, you will need to do the following:
1) prepare a A1 paper poster (portrait orientation) to bring at the conference; on the day of your poster session, you will be able to hang your poster during the morning coffee break; you must use the poster stand which shows your paper ID; the poster session will be in the afternoon, during an extended coffee break (90 minutes long); in your poster, insert the CONTRIBUTED PAPER poster TAG image (ICDL_2017_posterTAG_contrib.jpg), that you should have received by email, and you can download below.
2) for your 2-minutes oral presentation, send 3 slides in a single pdf file (slide 1 with title, authors and affiliations, slide 2 with motivation/objectives, slide 3 with methods/results) in an email directed to both Program Chairs (email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org) with subject “[ICDL-Epirob] TEASER Your_Paper_ID”, where Your_Paper_ID is the ID of your accepted submission on paperplaza; all teaser presentations will be collated in a single pdf file and stored on a PC connected to the projector (by the Program Chairs) and presented during dedicated “poster teasers” sessions, each day before lunch; on the day of your poster teaser session (i.e. the same day of your poster session), you will line up near to the stage with the other speakers, following the order given in the official program, and when your turn comes you will have 2 minutes (strict!) to present your teaser (i.e. you will NOT present with your own laptop).
TWO-PAGES ABSTRACTS with POSTER PRESENTATION
In addition to the contributed poster, 12 two-pages abstract submissions were accepted for presentation in the poster sessions (4 each day), providing late-breaking results.
If your abstract submission was accepted for poster presentation, you will need to do the following:
1) prepare a A1 paper poster (portrait orientation) to bring at the conference; on the day of your poster session, you will be able to hang your poster during the morning coffee break; you must use the poster stand which shows your paper ID; the poster session will be in the afternoon, during an extended coffee break (90 minutes long); in your poster, insert the LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACT poster TAG image (ICDL_2017_posterTAG_abstract.jpg), that you should have received by email, and you can download below.
TUTORIALS and WORKSHOPS
Tutorials and workshop will be held on Monday (either full-day or half-day). If you are organising a tutorial/workshop, you will be assigned a room with chairs and a projector. If your tutorial/workshop has a poster session, please contact the local chairs to verify whether poster stands are available. Details of the tutorials/workshops are available on the conference website (http://www.icdl-epirob.org/ -> Workshops).
See you in Lisbon!
